Pictures for the End of the World is a conversation series with photographers, curators, editors, writers, publishers and others from across the photographic world about the pictures they would want to spend their final hours with.
Each guest is invited to imagine a simple scenario: the world is ending, and they have one final moment with a collection of photographs. Drawing from their own work, that of others or a family archive they select the pictures they would want beside them and reflect on why those images matter.
In an age of endless scrolling and infinite images, Pictures for the End of the World asks a different question: which photographs still matter when everything else falls away?
Each issue concludes with a Sole Survivor a final challenge in which guests choose the one photobook, body of work, or photograph that is so strong they believe could or should survive the end.
